on one hand it says god
is the other clenched in hate
could you please explain to me or better yet relate
that the search for wealth success and power
is for more than just the state
the book says peace humility
which isnt what you do you see
and if i turned the other cheek to you
would you respect my point of view
i can see the thrill of danger
and the fury of the fight
but wehn the blood gets spilled
you suffer longer than a night
those at the head might yet do well
to read that book its tale to tell
all there power wealth and glory
aint whats written in that story
as of the one whose life he gave
as that very tale unfolds
would they wash the feet of those who have
no homes yet to behold
